Hello, I’m Caro
I’m a birth doula, postpartum doula, nanny, daughter, sister, partner, friend, and proud dog mama.
Originally from Ohio and raised by a single Jewish mother who is an Ob/Gyn, I was introduced to the world of birth early on—perhaps even before I was born, having attended births in the womb! This lifelong exposure has fostered a profound appreciation for birthing individuals and the people that support them along the way.
I have always been in tune with the needs of those around me, caring for family members and neighbors' children throughout my life. My academic journey in integrative biology provided me with a broad understanding of the diversity of life, and a class on human reproduction sparked my passion for birth work. From there, my time working in public health taught me the immense and lasting impacts of peer support, and my training with Cornerstone Doula Trainings created a strong foundation of community-based birth work. My background allows me to offer both physiological knowledge and compassionate care.
Based in Oakland , California, I am honored to offer my services throughout the Bay Area, providing emotional and physical support during pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period. I am committed to empowering birthers to exercise autonomy over what is in their control, and let go of what is not. I look forward to meeting you and supporting your journey with care, compassion, and dedication.
